Oklahoma City University School of Theatre, the USA



Founded in 1904, Oklahoma City University (OCU) is a 104-acre campus located in the heart of Oklahoma City and serves nearly 3000 undergraduate and graduate students (250 of which are international students) from more than 40 countries. With a student to faculty ratio of 11:1, OCU classes are taught by professors, not teaching assistants, with 79% of OCU faculty holding the most advanced degree in their fields.

The university includes the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment, the College of Health Professions, the Kramer School of Nursing, the Meinders School of Business, the Petree College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Law, the School of Theatre, and the Wanda L. Bass School of Music.

The OCU School of Theatre offers students pre-professional BFA’s in Acting (Stage & Screen and On-Camera tracks) and Design & Production, as well as a BA in Theatre Innovation and Entrepreneurship. TheatreOCU, the production arm of the School of Theatre, mirrors regional theatre practices, and partners with professional arts organizations to prepare our students for a sustainable professional life in the arts. OCU School of Theatre’s alumni enjoy thriving careers which include work on Broadway and in regional theatre, universities, film, and television.
